Day two has been FANTASTIC! I woke up feeling clear and alert. I felt RESTED! What a wonderful feeling. I also noticed I had more energy today. Usually I'm tired by mid afternoon and wanting to sleep. Today I didn't even feel the need to nap. Also - no headache. That was a relief. I got the Alkinize down a bit easier. Still not my favorite. I realized a lot of the foods are toddler friendly! Healthy for me and my son - WOOHOO! Wondering what I ate? It was YUMMY!
Breakfast was 1/2 a cup of yogurt, 1 cup of oatmeal and 1 cup of blueberries. Have you ever sat down and tried to eat that much? It is A LOT! I was supposed to have plain yogurt but didn't realize it needed to be plain when I went grocery shopping. I had vanilla greek yogurt, which is approved for snacks so I figured it would be ok for breakfast. Going to the store tomorrow to get plain yogurt as there are a few more recipes requiring it. Blueberries are not my favorite, neither is plain oatmeal, but together they were tolerable. This reset sure does have me eating foods I normally wouldn't!
For lunch, I had a gigantic salad! It had an entire romain heart and an entire english cucumber! I made greek salad dressing which was pretty good! Once again, LOTS of food. I was so full by the time I finished this. I almost didn't! It took me a very long time! The pine nuts were a fantastic addition. I loved the meatiness of them.
Due to the gigantic salad I opted out of the snack because I was full. Dinner, by far, the best thing I've had in a long time. It really hit the spot! Kale, not so much but it was ok with pine nuts and little Himalayan sea salt added. This meal will for sure, go into my "make after the reset" pile!
Overall it was a good day. I did have some cravings around 3:00 this afternoon. I would have killed for a cheetoe. Or ice cream. Or a cookie. I have such an addiction to sugar and I hope this reset can help with that. I did not cave. I've actually spent the last two days at home (with an exception to helping a friend) so that I avoid being out around other foods. Right now I feel a little hungry and may make a Vegan Shakeology. So far I am pleased with my meals and with how I'm doing. I'm glad that I have started this program.
